There is no base figure specified for the investment, however, the value of the business and the investment must balance. The investment made must be operational, the services and products must make a profit by selling them. The recommended investment amount is $ 300,000 or more for the application to be successful. By increasing the amount of investment, you can increase your chances of getting a visa. 

 

The enterprise refers to a real, active, operating commercial or entrepreneurial undertaking which produces services or goods for profit. The business needs to create jobs for the American economy.

 

One of the most critical documents in the E2 application is the five-year business plan, which includes detailed financial projections covering cash flow, balance sheet, and profit/loss statements. To qualify for E-2 classification, the treaty investor must be a national of a country with which the United States maintains a treaty of commerce and navigation.

 

You can apply for an E2 visa in two ways:

 

1- If you apply from the country where you live. You must attend the American Consulate interview on the date given to you. E2 visas issued by the Consulate are generally 2 or 5 years. For extension, you need proof that your work continues according to the business plan. You can enter and exit the USA as much as you want; there is no travel restriction.

 

The decisions to be made about your US visa applications are under the initiative of the American Consulate. For this reason, your application documents must be detailed, correct, and complete.

 

2- You can apply for an E2 visa from the USA. Interviews are not held for applications made in the USA. It will be only a status change. If you leave the country then you need to apply for an E2 visa at American Consulate.
